This system is ideal if you think you may want to expand in the future. The Multiplus II-48/5000 can be combined in parallel to create a larger inverter, and additional MPPT units can be added to provide more solar input. Additionally batteries can be added to give increased capacity. 5kw is a starting point but all but the most frugal homes are very likely to need larger storage. If you need to vary the kit, just let us know and we can price additional components for you.

If you’re intending to run your entire home off grid then the first step is to see where you can eliminate electricity use. So cooking on wood, or gas; heating water with a pellet / log boiler, range cooker, and/or solar thermal.
With a bigger system – and especially with Dyness LiFePo batteries, a Cerbo GX or Color Control GX unit is essential to manage everything properly. It enables the system to be properly configured, to control other devices – such as a generator on/off, and allows you to view and manage an internet connected unit from anywhere in the world.
